Using the same Instructional Plan Template Download Instructional Plan Templateyou have been drafting and revising in this course, you will now draft the “Introduction to the Lesson (The Preview Phase)” section for your instructional plan. Complete the following:
Explain the hook for the preview phase of the lesson. Think about what will get learners interested. Will the activity include a visual or tactile way to get learners interested?
Describe the materials needed for the preview phase of the lesson. What will you need to ensure learners’ interests are peaked? Paper, pencils, crayons, technology, and so forth? Be explicit on the material needs.
Describe the specific content objective (i.e., the learning goal) for the preview phase. How is this specific objective related to the big idea for the instructional plan?
Explain the procedure for the preview phase of the lesson. Explain what the activity involves. Include any information needed about what the instructor will do. How will the objectives be introduced to learners?
Describe the grouping configuration for the preview phase. Will the instructor group the class by individuals, partners, groups, or as a whole class? If done in groups, specify whether they are heterogeneous or homogenous. Include any cooperative structure to be used.
Once you have updated your Instructional Plan Template, save it somewhere safe and then attach it to your initial discussion post. In your post,

Explain why you believe the instructional plan’s hook, materials, content objectives, procedures, and grouping configuration will help to fully engage the learners.
